Though I began working professionally as a massage therapist in 1997, the recognition that touch transforms came much earlier in my life.  Touch is amazingly powerful. I see it everywhere ~ in all its many forms . . . a compassionate touch to a struggling friend; a hug between a mother and child; a neck rub to a dying parent; a high-five of congratulations.  These magnificent moments are endless and stretch far beyond the human experience.

What do I love about the work I do?  I love connecting with people.  I love that the work I do has great potential to bring emotional and/or physical relief to those I work with. I am passionate about giving massage the way an artist is passionate about painting or a writer about writing;  my hands yearn for it.  Along with a passion for massage and a lifetime of touch therapy experience, I also bring to the table 14 years of professional experience with training in Swedish, Ashiatsu, Acupressure, Deep Tissue, and Thai modalities. I enjoy working with my clients to find the right combination of pressure, modalities, and touch therapy they need.  No two bodies are alike and neither are their needs.

You are the healer you've always been looking for; I am here to support you in your journey.

Kelly's Blend: This is a unique blend comprised of all I've learned over a lifetime of experience and 14 years of professional training. Customized for your needs, I combine Swedish, Thai, Deep Tissue, Acupressure, and intuition. For those seeking a relaxing, more traditional oil based massage, Kelly's Blend is perfect!

Thai Massage: I originally studied Thai Massage in Thailand 10 years ago and have continued my studies in San Francisco with a Thai Massage master. Thai Massage is great for everyone. For those seeking deep work or having issues with hips, back, shoulders and neck, this work is a pleasant surprise to those who have never tried it. Though Thai Massage is GREAT for deep work, pressure can be easily modified for those who seek it's benefits, but not the pressure. Thai Massage is done on a comfortable floor mat with clients comfortably clothed. It is a combination of kneading, stretching, and movement done rhythmically. A combination of hands, feet, and forearms are used in this modality. Its purpose is to get the Sen lines, joints, muscles, and lymph open and moving while bringing balance to both mind and body. If you've never tried Thai Massage, this is a great opportunity to JUST SAY YES! to something new.
**Thai massage is done on a floor mat.  Please dress comfortably (sweats/tee, yoga pants/tee).  Please no shorts and for women no bra's (they get in the way when working the back and shoulder area)

Comfort Massage for the Terminally Ill: Working with those diagnosed with a terminal disease is an incredibly humbling, enlightening, and heart opening experience. The power of touch is so immediately evident.  With touch having been more about poking, prodding, needles, vitals, blood tests, chemo, etc. ~  touch with the intention of love, connection, and restful healing is a welcomed change.  Massage helps relieve pain, stress, anxiety and other symptoms that come as a result of the dis-ease. I feel honored to be a part of the comfort during this journey.
*I am currently a hospice volunteer in Contra Costa County.
